Winter Issue - March 2010

There is not much new news in Macomb or at the Inselhaus B & B. We have had more than our normal amount snow and very cold weather. Nevertheless I have heard some birds singing so spring is not that far away.

Karl and I were able to take some time off for a nice vacation in Mexico in January. We have been back to Germany several times this last year for family emergencies. Our parents are getting older and sometimes they call us back to the “old country”.

Jen manages the B & B while I am away and has a new colleague in the kitchen. Laura joined out team in January. She is from Costa Rica. She is married to Ed Cook from Roseville. Ed’s father was our heating and cooling expert for many years. The world is so small!! Jen was able to visit her parents in California while we were in Mexico.

I’m sure many of you remember Janelle and she became a first time Mom on December 11, 2009. She and her husband Travis La Mont have a son Sean. He is a healthy and happy little fellow. They moved to Philadelphia on March 1st. We shall miss her a lot and wish them the best in their new life together.
